Teaching Hearts @ Home is the Homeschool Support Group of Newark Community Church

There are several areas of ministry in our church that allow us to use our spiritual gifts and our talents to serve the Lord and one another.

Caring and SocialConcerns

The Caring and Social Concerns Committee allows us to care for one another as a church family, especially those who are experiencing hard times in life. This ministry extends from fun and fellowship to the meals for those going through hardship.

Our monthly Benevolent Love Offering allows us to help people within our own church family; and through CityServe, people from the community, as well.  Every contribution is appreciated and is a blessing.

Christian Education

The objective of the Christian Education Committee is to promote knowledge and understanding of Scripture and the Christian life within the body of the Church.

Communications

The objective of the Communications Committee is to promote open and effective communications both within NCC as well as to the community at large. We are here to work together effectively for the Gospel of Christ.

Discipleship

This Committee oversees leadership training, new member orientation classes, women's ministries, men's ministries, Precepts, small groups programs, Adult Sunday School and Bible fellowships.

Evangelism and Missions

Through the Evangelism Committee and the Missions Committee our church is committed to taking the Good News, the Gospel, into our neighboring communities and into the world.

Property

The Property committee is responsible for the capital assets of the Church, real property and furnishings, including landscape maintenance and signage. The committee schedules Work Days and use of facilities. It is committed to energy conservation and recycling programs.

Worship

The Worship committee is responsible for planning and directing, in coordination with the Senior Pastor, the public services of the Church including the music program, audio/visual systems, organization of ushering, decorations for the auditorium and narthex, program publicity and preparations for observance of the ordinances of the Church.
